8.19.08 -- Yesterday's California Supreme Court ruling that Christian doctors must perform non-emergency medical procedures on homosexuals since their laws include 'sexual orientation' shows once again that the wants and desires of homosexuals trump the religious rights of Christians.  News Release

8.18.08 -- Former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge is wrong when he says Republicans would accept a pro-abortion vice-presidential running mate for Senator John McCain.    News Release

7.31.08 -- Massachusetts Governor signs into law the repeal of 1913 law that prohibited couples from getting married in Massachusetts if their marriage was not legally recognized in their home state.  This opens the door for homosexual couples from around the country to go there and get married.  More proof that Pennsylvania needs a Marriage Protection Amendment.

7.31.08 -- There's been a virtual media blackout on the Islamic symbolism found in the planned Flight 93 Memorial. The AFA of PA asked them to go to the source documents and check the facts.   News Release

7.30.08 -- Last week the House Subcommittee on Military Personnel held a hearing on the so-called 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'  policy which bans homosexuals from serving in the military.  The two who testified in support of the ban were ridiculed by Congressional members of this committee (reminiscent of State Senator Vince Fumo's attacks on those who testified in favor of the Pennsylvania Marriage Protection Amendment).  The hearing was a sham and showed disrespect for not only Elaine Donnelly, President of the Center for Military Readiness and Sergeant Major Brian Jones, but the U.S. military.

7.28.08 -- Original plaintiffs in constitutional challenge against PA hate crimes law respond to Supreme Court's decision.

7.22.08 -- The Third Circuit Court rules that the Child Online Protection Act (COPA) is unconstitutional!  Simply asking for a credit card number or other means to confirm that the user is over 18 years of age is too restrictive according to the Court. 

7.17.08 -- AFA of PA participates in joint news conference in support of boycott at McDonalds world headquarters in Oak Brook, IL.  News Release

7.11.08 -- California homosexuals call for boycott of business owners who donate money toward protecting marriage by way of a Marriage Protection Amendment.  McDonalds' corporate spokesman says those who oppose same-sex  marriage are motivated by hate -- what motivates those who boycott business owners who support marriage between one man and one woman?  Action Alert

6.17.08 -- Legalized same-sex marriage begins in California.  This could lead to a challenge to Pennsylvania's marriage law because too many of our legislators are unwilling to advance the Marriage Protection Amendment.  Pennsylvania and the other twenty-two states that do not have a Marriage Protection Amendment as part of their Constitution are in real danger with last month's  California Supreme Court decision.  Click here to read the June 17th Pittsburgh Tribune Review article.

5.15.08 -- California judges overrule the will of the people in the marriage issue.  In 2000 60% of Californian voters passed Proposition 22 which defined marriage as between one man and one woman.  By a 4-3 decision the California Supreme Court said this was a discriminatory vote!  News Release

1.21.08 -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day used to launch weeklong pro-homosexual school event.  Why is GLSEN afraid to release the list of elementary and middle schools participating?   Why does GLSEN's website contain recommended writing that involves descriptive details of the homosexual relationships between a teenage boy and an older homosexual man?  News Release

1.7.08 -- Philadelphia's 98th  mayor was sworn into office today. The AFA of PA sent a letter to Mayor Michael Nutter and asked him to defend the Cradle of Liberty Scout Council.    News Release

1.2.08 -- Over 1200 people signed our petition in support of the Cradle of Liberty Scout Council.  These names were mailed to Philadelphia Mayor John Street,  City Council President Anna Verna and City Council member Darrell Clark in whose district the Scout headquarter sits.
