Doctoral programs in industrial and organizational psychology?
I left psychology for many years I worked in public health. I have a degree in psychology and a master's degree in training and development, and I am an associate member of APA. I had an average of 3.6 in my degree and an average 4.0 in my masters program. But as I said I did not work in psychology on the ground for about 10 years now, and I have no publications to my credit but I worked on a research study, Department of Psychology About 10 years ago, but that was a study of health psychology. My notes are not very GRE 1000 – 1100 series and I'm 41 years old, so I guess that these things are counted against me. LOL. What do you think my chances of entering a doctoral program in IO psychology Us I do not expect to go to a High School because of my low GRE, but what about a school for poor IO Psych? Would I still be able to find work if I do not complete a PhD in IO Psych lower ranked school? Or is the job market too competitive IO?
Have you also considered as something in health psychology? I would think that with your experience working in public health could be an advantage you would have over other candidates who have no experience of work. Or you might consider a joint program that involves aspects of information operations and health psychologist, I know I saw some of them. I think if you search thoroughly, you will find programs that match you with. I do not think your age is a negative factor than you think. It is a practical work experience, and it's not like you did something totally independent. The higher your GPA look good and be a member of the APA indicates that you have maintained an interest in psychology, even if you worked in the public health. Despite your low GRE, there are programs that you accept these figures. I do not know much about the job prospects IO end of your studies, perhaps someone else can answer that question for you. Good luck!

Employee Training & Development $43.28 Raymond Noe’s Employee Training and Development sets the standard in this course area. First introduced in 1998, ETD became the market-defining text within 6 months of publication. Its popularity is due to its lively writing style and relevant examples of the most up-to-date developments in training, research and practice, including the strategic role of training and the use of new technologies in training. Employee Training and Development strikes a balance between research and real company practices. It provides students with a solid background in the fundamentals of training and development such as needs assessment, transfer of training, learning environment design, methods, and evaluation. To help students better understand the relationship between the main elements of the book, the book is now organized into five different parts. Part I focuses on the context for training and development and includes a chapter devoted to strategic training. Part II includes coverage related to the fundamentals of designing training programs. Chapters in Part II focus on needs assessment, learning theories and program design, transfer of training, and training evaluation. Part III focuses on training and development methods and includes chapters devoted to traditional training methods, e-learning and the use of technology in training, employee development, and special issues in employee development, such as managing diversity, succession planning, and cross-cultural preparation. Chapters in Part IV cover career issues and how companies manage careers, as well as challenges in career management, such as dealing with work-life conflict, retirement, and socialization. Finally, Part V provides a look at the future of training and development. |
